First Light
A handcrafted acoustic guitar wine display inspired by the quiet promise of a new beginning.
Before the world wakes, there is a moment when the horizon begins to glow.
For generations, that first light has greeted sailors leaving harbor, craftsmen beginning their work, explorers setting their course, and ordinary Americans stepping into days that would eventually become history.
First Light was created in tribute to that moment.
Beginning life as a maroon acoustic guitar, the instrument has been carefully reimagined by Tranquility Trading Company as a wall-mounted wine display. Its original form remains unmistakable, while the hollow body has been opened and handcrafted into an illuminated cabinet. Shelves crafted from canary wood bring a natural golden warmth to the interior, providing a distinctive setting for a favorite bottle and stemware.
Warm integrated lighting traces the guitar's silhouette, illuminating the canary wood and casting a soft glow across the interior. After sunset, First Light takes on another character entirely. What was once built to hold music now holds something different: a bottle worth opening, a story worth telling, and perhaps a quiet toast to whatever comes next.
The connection to American history is intentionally broader than a single person, battle, or date. First Light represents beginnings.
The first light over a colonial harbor.
The first light across an unexplored horizon.
The first light illuminating a workshop.
The first light of a journey whose ending has yet to be written.
That spirit of possibility has followed the American story for generations.
Now the guitar begins its second life with a new purpose and a new guardian.
First Light is not simply décor, nor is it simply a repurposed instrument. It is a functional, handcrafted artifact created to become part of the room around it and the stories that unfold there.
Because sometimes the most important part of a journey isn't knowing where it will lead.
It's deciding to begin.
FIRST LIGHT
Handcrafted Acoustic Guitar Wine Display
An original Tranquility Trading Company artifact.
Every Detail Earned. Every Story Preserved.
Built from an instrument the color of legend and named for a place where independence found its voice.
The Green Dragon transforms an emerald-green Glarry electric guitar into a one-of-one functional artifact, preserving the instrument’s unmistakable identity while giving it an entirely new purpose.
Long before revolution became history, taverns were places where ideas traveled, alliances formed and ordinary people imagined a different future. Boston’s Green Dragon Tavern became one of those places as a gathering ground for the Sons of Liberty and others whose conversations helped shape the American Revolution.
The Green Dragon carries that spirit forward: independent, unconventional and unwilling to remain what it once was.
The original guitar forms the heart of the piece beneath a 3/8-inch cast-acrylic top, individually contoured to follow the body. Four black stainless-steel standoffs suspend the acrylic above the instrument, creating a subtle shadow line that keeps the guitar visually distinct beneath the surface. Four black hairpin legs complete the transformation with a lean, architectural stance.
The original maple neck and Glarry headstock are fitted with a concealed hinge, allowing them to fold downward 90 degrees into the artifact’s intended display position. This deliberate structural detail preserves the guitar’s defining elements while giving the finished piece its compact, sculptural profile.
At approximately 24 inches high, The Green Dragon works as a side table, conversation piece or singular work of functional rock-and-roll sculpture.
Its emerald-green finish, black pickguard, exposed strings, pickups, control knobs and chrome hardware remain central to its story. This isn’t furniture borrowing the language of legend. It is an instrument transformed in the same spirit honoring what came before while moving decisively toward what comes next.

Some voyages are made by sea.
Others cross an ocean on the turn of a record.
Long before streaming, playlists or digital music, young Americans gathered around record players, waiting for the needle to fall.
Then, in 1964, everything changed.
A new sound crossed the Atlantic from Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle and beyond. British musicians weren’t simply making records—they were reshaping popular culture.
Before four young musicians from Liverpool changed popular music, British engineering was already finding its way into American homes. This British-made Garrard RC88 Triumph record changer represents that quiet beginning.
Built with precision and craftsmanship, it was designed to bring music into homes around the world.
What records passed beneath its needle cannot be known.
Perhaps The Beatles.
Perhaps The Rolling Stones.
Perhaps The Who, The Kinks, The Animals or Herman’s Hermits.
Its first story has been lost to time.
Its next story has only just begun.
Recovered, carefully cleaned, and recommissioned by Tranquility Trading Company for wall display, The British Invasion stands as a tribute to the moment music crossed an ocean and forever changed the soundtrack of a generation.
The original mechanism is non-operational and is presented as part of the artifact’s history rather than replaced or disguised. Its authentic components, controls and remarkably preserved wooden frame remain visible, allowing the Garrard to stand on its own as a piece of British engineering and music history.

Some revolutions begin with speeches.
Others begin with the drop of a needle.

Built in honor of those whose names history did not record but whose courage changed its course.
Liberty Belle honors the ordinary people who chose an extraordinary path in 1776. Generals may occupy the pages of history, but independence was carried by craftspeople, merchants, blacksmiths, printers, musicians, tavern keepers, farmers and families who believed liberty was worth more than comfort.
Legend within the Tranquility Trading Company tells of the Liberty Belle, a small crimson-hulled packet ship said to have traveled the colonial coastline beneath the cover of darkness. Within her hold were letters, maps, newspapers and whispered hopes carried between ports where the idea of freedom was quietly taking root.
No official record has ever confirmed her existence.
Perhaps she sailed.
Perhaps she did not.
Like every enduring legend, the truth is left for each Guardian to decide.
The deep metallic-crimson electric guitar at the heart of this artifact echoes the hull of its legendary namesake. Reimagined as a functional side table, it now stands ready to carry the libations, conversations and gatherings of its next Guardian.
This is not furniture decorated with history. It is an instrument recommissioned in its spirit as a tribute to the countless individuals whose courage became part of something greater than themselves.
As with every artifact commissioned by Tranquility Trading Company, Liberty Belle is a one-of-one creation.

Built from an instrument that always looked toward what came next.
Blue Horizon transforms a blue-to-black burst Strat-style electric guitar into a one-of-one functional artifact, preserving the familiar contours, visual rhythm and unmistakable presence of an instrument made for possibility.
The horizon has always represented something just beyond reach a boundary between where we stand and where we might go. Blue Horizon captures that sense of calm anticipation: the moment before the next note, the next journey or the next chapter begins.
The original guitar forms the heart of the piece beneath a 3/8-inch acrylic top, individually contoured to follow the instrument’s silhouette. Four black standoffs suspend the acrylic above the guitar, creating a subtle shadow line that preserves its identity beneath the surface. Four black hairpin legs complete the transformation with a clean, architectural stance.
At approximately 24 inches high, Blue Horizon works as a side table, conversation piece or quietly commanding work of functional rock-and-roll sculpture.
The blue-to-black burst finish, contrasting pickguard, exposed strings, pickups and chrome hardware remain central to its story. Rather than extending outward in its traditional playing position, the maple neck and original Glarry headstock turn downward at a deliberate 90-degree angle—preserving the instrument’s defining elements while giving the artifact its compact, sculptural form.
This isn’t furniture decorated to resemble music history. It is an instrument given a new purpose and a new horizon.

Built from an instrument that was never meant to disappear quietly.
Iron Resolve transforms a deep-red B.C. Rich Warlock guitar into a one-of-one functional artifact, preserving the unmistakable geometry and attitude of one of rock’s most defiant silhouettes.
Across centuries, iron became shorthand for strength, endurance and an unwillingness to yield. Iron Resolve carries that spirit forward in a decidedly louder form.
The original guitar forms the heart of the piece beneath a hand-shaped cast-acrylic top, individually contoured to echo the Warlock body. Four black stainless-steel spacers suspend the acrylic above the instrument, creating a subtle shadow line that allows the guitar to remain visually distinct beneath the surface. Four black folding hairpin legs complete the transformation, giving the artifact a lean, architectural stance while allowing the legs to fold for transport.
At approximately 21" high × 22" long × 15" wide, Iron Resolve works as an accent table, side table or unapologetic piece of functional rock-and-roll sculpture.
The guitar’s battle-red finish, exposed strings, pickups and hardware remain part of its story. This isn't furniture pretending to be rock history. It is an instrument destined for a second act.

Some map the world. Others give it meaning.
There are those who follow well-worn seas, and those who dare to chart new ones.
Legend tells of a quiet cartographer who sailed with the early captains of Tranquility. He carried no sword and commanded no crew, yet every voyage depended upon his steady hand.
While storms erased coastlines and time changed the world around him, the Cartographer faithfully recorded each harbor, hidden passage, dangerous shoal, and safe anchorage for those who would follow.
His charts were never treasured simply because they were beautiful.
They were treasured because they carried hard-earned knowledge. Lessons gathered one voyage at a time, preserved in ink so the next traveler might venture farther.
For the finest maps do not tell us where to go.
They remind us there is always another horizon.
The Cartographer was created in honor of that spirit.
Beginning life as a black acoustic guitar, the instrument has been carefully reimagined by Tranquility Trading Company as a wall-mounted whiskey display. Its original silhouette and character remain unmistakable, while its hollow body now reveals a handcrafted interior appointed with Peruvian walnut shelving, selected for its rich grain, warmth, and contrast against the instrument's dark exterior.
Where music once resonated, a guardian may now keep the bottles gathered along a journey, perhaps a familiar favorite, perhaps something discovered somewhere far from home.
Because not every treasure is buried.
Some are poured.
Some are shared.
And some carry a story worth preserving.
Like the charts that inspired its name, The Cartographer is meant to record a journey not in lines of latitude and longitude, but in memories, discoveries, conversations, and the occasional measure of something worth savoring.
As with every artifact commissioned by Tranquility Trading Company, The Cartographer is a one-of-one creation, handcrafted for a single guardian and a story still being written.
Some maps are drawn. Some are discovered.
